Advanced Logistic Centre to an International Standard 

The logistic centre built for Shufersal Online extends over a 42,000 sq.m. area and includes two storeys, a bridge connecting the  logistic centre to the adjoining office block and a two-level underground car park.

The  logistic centre construction process started with the erection of a prefabricated concrete frame and industrialised elements together with the placement of industrialised columns on the first level. This stage necessitated transportation of the beams and column to the building site on trucks and mobile cranes. In the following stage industrialised columns were also erected on the second level, overhead nets were set up, concrete topping was cast, and prestressed slab ceilings withstanding heavy loads were assembled. In addition, intermediate levels were built, as were 15 merchandise unloading docks and 30 pick-up truck loading docks, and an automatic collection system was set up.

All the elements for building the logistic centre were produced at the Ashcrete plant and transported to the site, enabling the construction process to be streamlined and work times to be shortened.
